Agendas, Minutes and Financial Reports for this year are all posted!!! There is more to come in the future. Subscribe Today!
We are very proud of our new site and appreciate your patience as we strive to keep you informed on current events and services by posting them to the site. The Agendas and Minutes of the meetings for this year are all posted, as well as the Monthly Financial Reports for the same time period. Due to time constraints and the limitations of the website, the Monthly Financial Reports were posted under the main heading "Financial Reports " and not the Audit/Financial Reports section. That is actually for the Yearly Financial Report, not the Monthly one. We inquired about adding another heading under the main "Financial Reports" heading and were informed that would incur additional cost. The Monthly Financial Reports for this year have been moved to a new heading - Monthly Financial Reports - which is located on the same page as the Agendas and Minutes. If you click on the heading, the list will open of all the Monthly Financial Reports for this year. Subscribe and receive news and alerts via email and text. Let us know what you think!

The septic systems in town are owned and maintained by the Village of Waynesville as long as you reside within the Village limits. If you encounter an issue with your septic system, please contact the Village Hall so that the Village Maintenance Personnel can check your system to determine if the issue should be handled by the homeowner or the Village. The homeowner is responsible for maintenance of the pipe connecting the home to the septic tank and the Village maintains the tank and seepage field or connection to the Mound System if the yard is too small for a functioning seepage field. The Village Hall number is 217-949-3264 and if no one is available to answer your call, please leave your name and number and we will call you back as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call.
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Waynesville found it necessary to increase both the Water and Sewer rates at the September meeting, due to an increase in operating costs. The Water rates had not been increased since 2013 and Sewer rates had not been increased since 2019. The Board voted to increase the rates for both utilities by $3.50 each, with rates to take effect on October 20th. The amended Ordinances were adopted at the October 10, 2022 meeting. Rates will be charged starting November 1st and bills received in December for November usage will reflect the rate increases. The new Flat Rate for Water will be $20.85 for the first 940 gallons, and the Flat Rate for Sewer will be $20.75 for 9,999 gallons of water or less. A copy of each ordinance now appears on the Ordinances Page under the Government heading.
